What I Look Like

My new avi pic is what I look like to all.

May stick out a tad outside of the court.

Kinda a Masquerade breach.

I wouldn't go as far as saying a breach just by looking like that as people can and do often look pretty strange in the world of darkness. The only one's I could think of who's unmanipulated pressence in public alone could result in a breach would be a Nos, Tzimize who's done some manipulation to there appearance, or elder Gangrel riddled with beast traits. A vampire being on a path just has the hinderance of your nature as a predator is more obvious and unsettling to mortals. Not to mention looking like that the only place you would almost fit in would be a goth club.

It's still a potential breach and easier for a hunter to find you. Goth's don't have a predatory feel about them, as even with Mask your inhuman nature still comes through. (And you still have that nasty -3 to ALL interactions with mortals, since your not on Humanity, except for intimidation.)

I think a Topic like this may be a good idea to perhaps describe PCs and NPCs physical appearances.

Solomon's skin is a dark black, it looks to be made of Obsidian. His eyes are a deep red and he has horns like a ram; they curl backwards and are just above his ears, which are pointed. His facial features look like he may have been a black man as a mortal and he has very slight tusks that jut from his lower lip. His wings are big and Batlike and he has a long tail. His feet and hands end in claws and he does not wear shoes as his feet are far too bestial like for any footwear. He wears pants like the ones I do but no shirt as of yet. He just about always carries the Fireaxe with him. (I need to remember to find or get a new card for that and wear it on my chest to show it's openly "worn")

If hunters wandered around killing every freaky looking goth they saw, they'd wind up in jail for their troubles. While he looks extremely strange, he's not really a masq breach, IMO. Not that I'd want him around if I were doing something I didn't want people to notice.

For the record, Vai looks like me. I find that it's easier for me to play characters in live action if I'm not trying to picture in my head being someone of a different look or build than myself.

Freaky looking goths don't give off the predatory feeling a low humanity/non humanity vampire does. Not to mention he can't spend blood for things like blushed cheeks, or to appear to be breathing, a heart beat, ect. They could indeed figure out what he is fairly easily. You shouldn't just look like a "freaky goth" for having low humanity. It's a bit more obvious your not quite human. Having low humanity or none at all shouldn't be waved off so easily like that.

What Michelle was not told is that Indy's masquerade threatening appearance is a result of taking an alternate path to Humanity. It's like a low humanity vampire +2.

If he limits his interaction with human kind, he's not a Masquerade breach. He's just very creepy.

All I know is if you have low Humanity, or are not on Humanity you have a predatory feel to you. It comes through ALL the time. Mask cannot hide it. You also look very inhuman, pale and corpse like. On top of this for every point below four Humanity you take a -1 penalty to Social Interactions with mortals. Up to a -3 penalty. Vampires who are not on Humanity at all take a -3. This penalty does not extend to Intimidation. Solomon's humanity isn't very high for example so he's going to definitely limit his interactions with humans, even with Mask of 1000 faces.

Another thing about being really creepy, supernaturally som is people are probably going to remember that when and if hunters do poke around and ask questions. There is a huge difference between just being a weirdo mortal goth and a creepy inhumane vampire.

Having seen the way Delray is playing Indy he seems to avoid social interactions with mortals other then killing them. As long as it's "bad men" he kills I don't see that coming back to bite him in the ass there. I do assume he has a buffer set up to help maintain his expensive taste's as he can't really go clothes shopping or to the dealership to buy a new bike.

I know that he intentionally wanted to play exactly what he's playing. Just as he intentionally picked a Look that would give off a creepy vibe. He succeeded, or else all of you wouldn't have commented.

Hence the stamp of approval.

It's completely intentional, and in no way is it a bad decision. He only gets to play live rarely, and when he does play he wants the maximum bang for his buck. He's intentionally not playing it safe.

Yeah I do wonder where he got the nice clothes from. He coulda killed someone for them. That would be cool. Like how Spike got his trenchcoat from that 70s looking slayer.

It could be as simple as he's got a ghoul to do his running around. If he's got the stuff IC safest to assume he has the means until it's discovered he doesn't.

Only reason it caught my attention was that when I asked around at game itself I was told you looked perfectly normal. An obscure picture of what I assume is Marilyn Manson done up in makeup and such doesn't strike me as normal

Well then. I guess we'll just have to see what madness he brings to the next game. If he's not shaking things up, then I'll be surprised.
