I am really looking forward to this game. I am going to use a new system of organizing information. I am going to explore some new storytelling methods. What's more, it will be my first honest WoD game since 1997. (I've been a player too long.) I don't think that game I ran in college counts. Not really. Anyway, I've got a summary of alternate history events here. Stored it in my Google Docs, so I'll make that public and link to it.

Hopefully that is enough reading for today. The last post I will do is a character bio for the Sheriff and a description of what kind of characters you will be bringing to the table.

Vampire needs a freeze. So I'm wrapping it up, and putting it on a shelf.

Ryan you gotta come try Sam's game. I've been looking into it, and I haven't been this excited since the old Sac LARP game waaaay back when. That's like saying I haven't been this excited in almost 10 years.

The decision to stop vampire to do this is based on this reasoning:

Glancing over the material you've linked and posted trying to come up with a character concept. I was wondering since there are some prerequisites you've established is there a role in the society our characters are going to be filling or is it a free for all where all backgrounds and idea's will work?

I've got a basic idea and once I get a little better feel for what the game tempo and such is going to be I'll send you a PM or something to flush out the rough parts.

I'm sure sam will reply soon, and in much better detail, but we are filling a role of sorts. I don't know if this will be mandatory for future characters, or just something he decided to do until we get familiar with the world.

Anyways we are deputies for the local sheriff. There are a ton of factions, some seem pretty cool. Sam may work with you quite a bit on your background, but I'm guessing that regardless of the background he's gonna want to deputize you. Even if there is some other plot, or situation going on behind the scenes.

Basically the sheriff of San Antonio has decided to employ psychics and sorcerers to enforce the laws in a nearly lawless Independent nation of Texas. The plotlines I have planned require the player characters start with motivation to assist the sheriff (grudgingly at least). From there, characters are welcome to create their own agenda. Deputies can purchase the privilege background at level 4. As well as justify resources 2 and equipment 1 without risking those things interfering with their adventures. I am willing to entertain any concept, but yes, the most likely concepts to fit this game would be sheriff's men.
